A trickle of my life and the thrum of my heart

I keep taking photos like this and obviously that means I'm having more fried breakfasts than I should. So a little resolution for myself in 2011. Find at least a few food subjects that are not only good to look at, but good for the body too!
I'm not a big fan of boilings I must admit
I guess because I still have teeth
And like toffees I have a habit of biting them
Until only the dentist can give relief
Chocolate is best or soft ice-cream
Those are the treats I'd safely choose
But the colours and patterns make me smile
The swirls, the lines and the hues
So I may not eat them all that much
And pass when an offer comes my way
But if I have a camera handy, well,
They make a sweet photo of the day

navigation aids near Port Glasgow on the Clyde river. Enjoyed a walk about here this afternoon. First time since April I've felt warm enough to wear just a t-shirt and trousers. Port Glasgow itself seems caught in a time-warp, with many buildings harking back to the mid-20th century. Made a mental note to revisit on a Saturday next time as only the pubs and churches were open on a Sunday. Perhaps the Port remains less heathen than the rest of the West of Scotland?
